CAN I SCHEDULE A SCHOOL TOUR?

Absolutely, please contact us via phone at 519-781-7389 or email millpondacademywoodstock@gmail.com to set up your appointment! Based on government restrictions tours will be either in person or virtual.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?

At Millpond Academy we have a maximum student teacher ratio of 1 teacher for every 15 students. Actual class sizes depend on enrolment.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN THE SCHOOL?

Since moving to our new school building in Innerkip we will have the space to accommodate a maximum of 35 students in the entire school. We are planning a future addition to the building to accommodate a total of 75 students when it is complete.

DO YOU HAVE JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN? PART-TIME?

We offer programs for students in Junior Kindergarten to grade 8 however at this time are unable to accommodate part-time students. Students can start in Junior Kindergarten in September of the year that they turn 4, this means if you have a September-December baby they may start JK at 3 years old!

DO YOU TEACH FRENCH AT MILLPOND ACADEMY?

Yes. We follow the Ontario French as a Second Language Core curriculum for Grade 4 to 8. We also offer a very introductory, oral vocabulary based program for our primary students.

DO YOUR STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORMS?

No. In an attempt to keep costs lower, there will be no uniforms required. There is a dress code to ensure students are all comfortable and ready to learn! We do offer the option to purchase Millpond Academy spirit wear in the fall and spring.

HOW TO STUDENTS GET TO SCHOOL?

Families are required to arrange their own transportation to and from school, we do not offer bussing. Many families have arranged carpooling from Woodstock, Ingersoll, etc.

WHERE DO YOU TEACH GYM?

We are able to use the local park for our outdoor education classes and for indoor classes we rent the gymnasium at Innerkip Presbyterian Church.

WHAT IS YOUR PARTNERSHIP WITH WILD HEART FOREST FARM AND NATURE SCHOOL?

Our entire school goes to WHFFNS one day each month to experience the changing seasons, explore, and learn on the farm.
